That Was Fast

Hey everyone! What’s good, people?

What’s a frustrating fail for someone else? For me, it’s fresh blog material.😁️

If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, you already know how long and painfully I fought to get my site indexed by search engines. I was out here grinding. So the other day, while doing my routine “is my site even alive?” check, I typed in yurieblog… and noticed Google wasn’t just showing my content. There were random third-party links too.

Some of them led to posts from people on a certain well-known social network.

Naturally, my brain went: “Ohhh, so content from that platform gets indexed too?”

And then the second thought: “Well shoot, I could use that kind of visibility.”

So I signed up.

How hard could it be, right? Just a quick registration, maybe an email confirmation, done deal.

Oh no. They wanted my email. My phone number. Verification codes. Confirmations. Approvals. I’m honestly surprised they didn’t ask for my passport and a background check while they were at it.😂️

Anyway, I created the account, posted a few things, even got a couple of likes. I designed cute little icons for my website to use as links. I was feeling productive. Efficient. Optimized.

Turns out… I was a little too fast.

Today—literally one day after registering—I get a notification: additional verification required.

They send me a code to my phone. Fine. I enter it. Then they ask for a selfie.

I blinked. Paused. Slightly panicked. Then went, “You know what? Sure.”

Tell me how this isn’t a selfie?😁️Tell me how this isn’t a selfie?😁️

They “reviewed” it for about an hour.

And then—boom. Account blocked.

Gone. Vanished. I can’t even log back in.

Maybe they didn’t like my new nightgown. Maybe the horizon line in the photo wasn’t straight. Maybe Mercury was in retrograde. Who knows.😂️

They also kindly informed me that the decision is final, non-appealable, rules apply equally to everyone, blah blah blah. I didn’t even bother reading the rest.

What makes this even funnier is that while browsing that platform, I saw short videos of girls openly displaying their genitals or wearing “painted-on” swimsuits. So yeah. Extremely strict rules. Very serious enforcement.

Anyway.

Moral of the story?

Sometimes your SEO strategy turns into ... you know.😁️

Don’t miss me too much. I’ll be back soon.😘️
